"It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta' do it" Doing the laundry can be quite a task for anyone. I'm sure you ladies out there can relate. Okay, so I'm doing the laundry cheerfully and carefully folding, organizing and what not. Days past, I start focusing on other housework. Days past some more, and some more and more until finally I catch myself thinking, "Hmm, why not just start folding the clean and dry laundry and putting it back in the dryer! I've got so much laundry piled up here already. We, can always get rid of our dresser, it would save money and it's so big...it's taking up space." When you start thinking like that and when your Husband wakes up in the morning to go to work, and makes his way to the dryer to pick out something to wear, you know you've got problems! My Husband shouldn't have to fumble through that big box every morning to find his clothes. He should be able to get up in the morning, walk right over to his closet and find nice and neatly folded and or hung up (dry -mildew-free) clothes to choose from. I've got
SEVERAL loads to wash, dry and fold as I type this thing. *Sigh* Procrastination stinks! Hmm...I think I smell something funny coming from the laundry room....
Proverbs 10-11:
10"A little sleep, a little slumber,a little folding of the hands to rest—
11and poverty will come on you like a bandit
and scarcity like an armed man.
"Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
7It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
8yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest."
"One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys."
"Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth."
